Stanley J. Folmsbee Papers
This collection documents the work of Stanley Folmsbee. Included are several book manuscripts (including Folmsbee's Tennessee: A Short History and History of Tennessee), materials showing Folmsbee's involvement with such organizations as the Sons of the Revolution, a set of reprinted Civil War newspapers, and clippings of those of Folmsbee's articles that were printed in Tennessee newspapers.

J. Colghborn Letter
J. Colghborn wrote this letter to Thomas Hickman of Nashville, Tennessee after he returned from a sales trip in order to finalize a land contract between the two men.
Charming Sally Cargo Manifest
This manifest lists the cargo aboard the sloop Charming Sally on its run from Murfreesborough, North Carolina to New York City under master Alexander Mather. This cargo included pease, tobacco, tar, potatoes, and other items. The manifest was signed by Col. H. Murfree.
David Henley Notes
These two small notes (both signed by David Henley) instruct Sergeant Throp to deliver beef and meal to the Apocamingos family.
Nathaniel Cowan Letter
This collection consists of one letter written by Nathaniel Cowan, dated June 28, 1797, concerning the amount of whiskey purchases he had completed. He writes to a Jesse Payne reporting about a shipment of flour and whiskey that he has recently received from Payne, via a Mr. Young.
Notes of Dr. Romayne's Second Examination
Materials included are two pages of handwritten notes from an examination of Doctor Nicholas Romayne on July 13 and 14, 1797 pertaining to William Blount. The notes were taken by S. Sitgreaves.
James White Plat
This drawing documents James White's transfer of a tract of land to his son, Hugh Lawson White, on January 13, 1797. The tract is adjacent to the Holston River and is bisected by Crozier Street and nearby First Creek. It extends approximately 154 poles to the east and 182 poles to the west. The King Wale House and Parks Mill are also indicated. The map's scale is 20 poles to 1 inch.
Knox County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions Writ Regarding Andrew Evans
This writ instructs the Sheriff of Knox County to locate John Evans (who assumed responsibility for Andrew Evans' affairs) and procure the $32.08 that he owes Daniel Prouel as the result of a debt and court costs. The Sheriff is to present the money at the next session of the Court so that it can be transferred to Prouel. A notation on the reverse indicates that Evans satisfied his obligation.
Knox County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions Bond
This bond (worth $500) guarantees that William Overstreet, James Davis, and Jeremiah Rogers will appear before the Knox County Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions on October 30, 1797 to answer William and Phebe Tipton's charges of trespass and property damage.

Gideon Cate Papers
This collection consists primarily of receipts and correspondence documenting Gideon Cate's general store in Blountville, Tennessee between 1837 and 1889. Also included is a photograph of the building Cate's business was housed in, several land deeds showing how Cate expanded his holdings, and Cate's phrenological profile. Additionally, the collection houses a photograph of a sophomore botany class at the University of Tennessee and a receipt of funds from Nathaniel Hart, dated from 1797.
